Violet

Last year I gave my home to this little princess. Someone was just giving her away on Gumtree. The whole thing was super sketchy and I'm so pleased that I was able to rescue her! She lived on an awful council estate in a house full of dogs and she was just called 'cat', the people hadn't even bothered giving her a name :(. So... meet Violet. She's an absolute sweetie and a pain in my bum! The worlds most expensive cat racking up over £500 in vet bills in less than 6 months and smashing a brand new 42 Inch Tv after only having it for 30days. She loves 'duck on a stick', nuzzling into my dressing gown, lying on her back and farting all day long. She even has her own toy shelf, which she routes through to find the specific toy she fancies playing with.

I've turned into a total crazy cat lady but I kinda love it. and her.

Wedding!

Last summer my wonderful cousin Matthew got married to his beautiful fiance Rebecca. It was at a beautiful old manor house (For  the life of me  I can't remember its name!)
me and Mary brother were invited to the evening do whilst the rest of the family were at the ceremony so we joined them later on. it was my brothers last family visit before he moved to Australia, so it was a nice special day to all spend together before he left us for a year (Or more!)
I managed to squeeze into my Polkadot (The Polkadotte - in polkadots?!) dress that I'd bought years before with the hopes of wearing it to a wedding, but then I got fat and couldn't fit, but then I got skinny and then could! *yeay!*
It was a lovely afternoon - mainly spent getting drunk with my brother, and dancing to the live band that played various Indie songs of our teenage years!

New Flat!

So I took the plunge and got myself my very own flat! No sharing - Alllllll Mine! It's a lovely old building over looking a big park - Awesome for a people watcher like me! It's got huge windows and high ceilings and tons of space - I was a little worried everything I bought wouldn't fit but I shouldn't have worried haha! I'm slowly but surely getting there in making it homely and cosy. Here are the before pictures....

It was an epic job to get moved in - it's a first floor flat so there was a lot of stair climbing! Here's the during...

And finally, after several hours... Here's the after....

Hull

There's been a few big gaps on the blog. I moved down to Bedford last October, to persue a new career and move in with the Mr. However after ten months I realised life wasn't working for me down there. I was due to start a new job but things took a turn for the worse in my personal life and decided to be back near my friends and family would be better for me. I'm trying not to dwell on all the bad stuff thats happened in the last few months, and I'm trying to better myself. I've now started a new job, with better hours and salary (yeah thats right! I'm on a salary - when did I even grow up?!) and I'm picking myself back up and just getting on with stuff! I've started my business back up too - I forgot to mention I had to close it due to work and relationship commitments (I couldn't give it my all and didn't want to only put half my effort into it)

Despite taking a step back and moving back into my parents house I'm staying positive and sorting myself out. I'm trying to see my friends more, get back in touch with people I lost touch with, and save up some money for myself. I'm looking to move out shortly to a place of my own and gain back some of my independence which I so badly need.

Onwards and upwards they say so watch this space as I'm hoping the next few months will involve a lot of postive changes in my life! :-)

My Best Friends Wedding (Part One)

So back in May I was lucky enough to be part of my best friends wedding. We've been friends for over ten years, and to quote Meredith Gray... She's my person. We're two peas in a pod. My other half. My everything. I was honoured to be her maid of honour and I spent the day just brimming with happiness to see my best friend finally tie the knot with the boy we use to walk past on the way to school and think was hot. I was beaming the entire day and couldn't stop looking at the beautiful bride. I was seriously so proud. Here are just a few of the MANY pictures I took of the perfect day!
