New Life!

So things have settled down a little lately! I'm loving my new job at English Muse and all the wonderful people I've already met from it! Makes me miss living round the Avenues as its such a gorgeous creative community, so happy I'm back round there and working though! In case you're not from Hull, Newland Avenue & Princes Avenue is a super cute creative part of Hull and its primarily full of students as it's close by to the uni - thus making it super cool and rather trendy!

The English Muse is a Gorgeous (with a capital G) little café with the most beautiful front windows. I work primarily in the kitchen cooking up huge pans of tasty Veggie soups and toasting some toastys! I love that it's nothing like my other jobs and I have a little freedom with it and can make things look nice and pretty! Never did I think that anyone actually enjoyed their jobs - having worked at other places and just kept on plodding on because it paid the bills, this new venture is a revelation to me! I love it!

I love to encourage people to do more of what makes them happy so I'd love to inspire anyone to sack off their jobs that make them unhappy and go do what does make you happy! I've felt such a change of the last month or so in myself and I can truly say I'm happy! I'm terrified about money - don't get me wrong haha - but money isn't everything :-)

You'll only hate Mondays if you hate your job.

I'm back!

I'm sorry I've been AWOL for quite some time! I made the decision to work full time and the business took a back step. It's been growing steadily since and now I've made the decision to cut down my hours, take a new job (in a gorgeous little cafe) and refocus my energy into my little baby! (the business!)

I've got a new zest of inspiration and I'm very excited and giddy for all that is to come! Lots of happy exciting new things in the pipeline and I'm excited to share it with you all!

I'm currently working on updating all my shop listings! Everything needs a little revamp every now and then but I kinda wish I'd have done it all sooner as now I've got a LOT of work ahead! It's going to be super busy rounds these neck of the woods now but here's a little glimpse at whats been going on!

Eek!

I know it's been a while (cough....again!) but I'm back with a vengeance (I think!). It's all been veryyyy busy over here! Working a full time job and running my own business - and still trying to have a life at the same time but I think I'm working out some kind of balance, and at last - I think I'm happy. I'm trying to make the most of my days off and being as productive as possible - which I really need to be at the moment because my shop seems to be going crazy mad with a Christmas rush! I'm still slowly but surely working my way through my massive stash of crafty bits and making more new and exciting items for the shop stock! Today it's been Fimo! Heres a cheeky sneak peek at what I've been making! 

Word of advice - don't eat real sweets whilst making pretend sweets - It's super tricky to tell the difference between a chocolate magic star and a Fimo one, and you really don't want to mix them up!

Anyway! That's all for tonight folks! Time for me to shower because I've just been for a run! Early start for me tomorrow (but it means an early finish! yeay!)

Whoops

Ok, so I realise I'm turning into one of those bloggers who only ever blog about apologising about not blogging. Whoops! Things have been super busy round here - heres a catch up of whats going on!

I've started a new job at Costa Coffee - Not putting my degree to much use but it's with nice people and the hours are good. I also get to work with my best friend :-)

I've finally declared myself sel-employed so now I'm officially a business owner. 

So far I'm managing to keep up with both jobs and have somewhat of a social life - but this means that I'm pretty much always tired and have a never ending to do list and lots of things get put off - aka getting back to blogging!

I'm also going through some personal stuff which can be tricky but because I'd like to think this blog is a happy little piece of my life - we'll leave the details out ;-)

I'm pretty happy with where I'm at (minus the drama) & got some exciting stuff in the pipeline... I'm finally going to learn to drive :-S. I'm trying to convince myself this is good and exciting because currently - I'm not so excited... just petrified!

I'm missing uni life and seeing my friends everyday - even more so miss living with my bestie - who's moving to China in two days! Gutted! I am excited however to save my pennies and fly out to see her (whether she likes it or not!)

Anyway! I best be off to plan some more blog posts for you so I don't fall behind again! (Hopefully they'll be a little more exciting than this one!)
